The Society for Spanish and Portuguese Historical Studies is sponsoring four sessions at the 40th International Congress on Medieval Studies.  The deadline for submitting abstracts is September 15, 2004.  Although I (James D'Emilio) am listed as the SSPHS contact person on the Congress website, I encourage you to submit proposals directly to the organizer of the relevant session:
