CALL FOR SUBMISSIONS
SSPHS PRIZE FOR BEST FIRST ARTICLE PUBLISHED IN 2006, 2007 OR 2008
The SSPHS Prize for Best First Article in Iberian history, with
an honorarium of $250, will be awarded at the Society’s annual meeting
in Kansas City, Missouri, in April 2009. Articles may be in
Castilian, English,
Catalan, Galician, Portuguese or French, although articles in other
languages
will be considered if the original is accompanied by a full-text
translation
into Castilian, English, or Portuguese. Articles must have appeared in
peer-reviewed journals, and only articles that
appeared
within the calendar years indicated will be eligible for
consideration. Submissions should include the following: (1) a
copy of the
publication
(photocopies are acceptable); (2) a copy of the journal’s contents page
showing
the journal title, volume, and date; and (3) the author’s resume,
including
current address. Please send complete materials to EACH
member
of the prize committee below. The final deadline for submissions
is
January 15, 2009. Authors must be members of SSPHS.
