CALL FOR PAPERS
Society for Spanish and Portuguese Historical Studies
Madrid, July 2-5, 2003

     The Society for Spanish and Portuguese Historical Studies will hold its annual meeting at the Facultad de Geografia e Historia of the Universidad Complutense in Madrid, Spain, on July 2-5, 2003.  We welcome proposals for both individual papers and thematic panels.  Scholars in any country working in Spanish or Portuguese historical studies, including disciplines adjacent to history, such as anthropology, art history, geography, literature, sociology, etc. are encouraged to apply.  Non-members included in the Program are asked to join the Society .
    Proposals should include both the title and a brief abstract of the proposed paper.  At the discretion of the Program Committee, proposals in the form of complete panels may be modified to include additional papers that fit the theme of the panel.
