CALL FOR SUBMISSIONS
SSPHS PRIZE FOR BEST FIRST BOOK PUBLISHED
IN
2004, 2005, OR 2006
The SSPHS Prize for Best First Book on any aspect
of Iberian history, consisting of
a
certificate and an honorarium of $100, will be awarded at the Society’s
annual
meeting in 2007. The book may be
written
in Castilian, English, Catalan, Galician, Portuguese, or French.
Books
in other languages will be considered if the original is accompanied by
a
full-text translation into Castilian, English, or Portuguese.
Only
books published within the calendar years 2004, 2005 and 2006 will be
eligible
for
consideration. Submissions should include the following: (1) a
copy
of the book; and (2) the author’s resume, including current
address.
Please send submissions to EACH member of the prize committee
below.
The final deadline for submissions is December 15, 2006.
(Exceptions
to this deadline will be made only in the case of books published
between
December 15 and December 31, 2006). Please direct queries to the
chair
of the prize committee.
