How long is the program?
The program is ten weeks long. This summer, the program will run from May 31 - August 5, 2005.

When is the Application Deadline?
Review of complete application packages will begin March 1, 2005. Applications will be accepted until all positions are filled.

What is the stipend?
The stipend is $3,100 for the summer.

Where will I be living?
Housing will be provided in Magnolia Apartments, an on-campus housing complex. Each apartment has 3 or 4 bedrooms and each bedroom is equipped with a bed, desk, chair, dresser and closet. The shared living/dining room and kitchen contains a couch, one chair and two barstools. Services include convenient parking, a playground, cable TV, air conditioning, computer connections, computer labs, telephone service, mail and a laundry facility.

How much will it cost and who will pay for housing?
The REU will bear the cost for your housing directly. For those bringing cars for the summer, parking will be your responsibility.

Will food be provided?
Yes - you will have the choice of either a 5-day on campus meal plan or a food allowance to purchase your own food.

How competitive is the program?
We anticipate that the program will be quite competitive. We are looking for student with the curiosity and drive to make substantial research progress over a ten-week period, and who have the potential for leadership in the profession.
